Through word of mouth, Lampang River Lodge has long been a popular hideaway for nature lovers. The resort sits on an area of 25 rai of lush green undergrowth and trees on the banks of the Wang River. The resort was awarded the Unseen Paradise in Thailand award by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).

All 60 bungalows were built in the style of Lanna architecture using local materials. All bungalows have level floors and teak shingles or earthen tiles are used on the roofs. The bungalows' outer walls are made of wood while the inner walls are white cement. Wooden furniture is used to decorate the rooms in order to soften the effects of the cement walls.
